Drought has caused Chepanga and his fellow residents to struggle
posted February 20, 2012

Chepanga, a class two pupil from Ngoron Primary School in Kolowa (Kenya), one of the hardest hit areas of the drought, draws water from a hole. Residents including children have to dig and scoop out the sand for hours before they can actually find water. This is just a mere snapshot of the hardships that have been introduced to this region by the worst drought in 60 years.
With your support, World Vision, a SeeYourImpact partner, is hard at work on the ground providing much needed disaster relief to address issues like the ones that Chepanga and his community are facing. World Vision is providing services to this region like food and water support, including efforts to specifically ensure children survive by supplementing their supplied diets with Plumpy’nut, a nutrient-enriched food solution. In addition to this, World Vision has provided many struggling families with shelters and medical aid.
Thanks to your donation, residents of this region like Chepanga have received access to life-saving food and water support, which will go a long way in helping to relieve their hardship.
Thanks again for helping to support Chepanga and his fellow residents!
