Providing food support for residents of Baringo

Residents of Baringo, Kenya, like this woman, have been hit extremely hard by the drought in the region. The Marigat Area of Baringo County is one of the hardest hit areas, with 60,000 out of 80,000 people said to be highly food insecure. With your help, people in Baringo and the Marigat Area have received relief food provided by WFP [World Food Program] in partnership with World Vision.

In the Horn of Africa, World Vision has been helping people survive, by supplying them with life saving food and water support, including special efforts to ensure children survive by supplementing their supplied diets with Plumpy’nut, a nutrient-enriched food solution. In addition to this, World Vision has provided many struggling families with shelters and medical support.
